WHY LONGER HAIR IN PARTICULAR REQUIRES EXTRA CARE
Long hair does require extra care if you want it to look healthy, shiny, strong and beautiful. Our scalp hair grows approximately 15cm (6 inches) per year. As our hair grows and ages, it physically grows further away from our scalp where it receives maximum protection from a coating of our natural oil, sebum. This natural coating of sebum also provides our hair, skin and scalp with a natural acid mantle, a mildly acidic influence which keeps the outer cuticle layer of our hair tightly compact.
As our hair gets older, the myriad of damaging influences it is exposed to are compounded. Over-shampooing, harsh shampoos, blowdrying, styling irons, exposure to sunlight, surf and wind, air conditioning, pollution, pool water, poor brushing and combing plus chemical services such as colouring, foiling, straightening etc.
All of these, to varying degrees, combine to damage our hair. The important point to consider is that once your hair is damaged, the damage is permanent. Unlike our skin, our hair cannot repair itself. Hair grows from the hair follicles within our scalp and any damaged fibre above the scalp remains damaged until the day it is cut off.
The longer our hair grows, the older it gets and the more damage it is exposed to. Although our hair cannot repair itself, advanced hair care technology can go a long way to repairing any damage and taking it back towards its original condition.

Oil Cocktail- The application of Luxury Natural Oil Blend, a potent combination of Macadamia Seed, Argan, Jojoba and Wheat Germ oils. This rich combination of oils is designed to emulate your own natural sebum and lipids to soothe, lubricate, moisturise and protect the outer cuticle layer of the hair shaft and the scalp.
Deep Therapy Masque- A Deep Therapy Treatment Masque rich in KWS TriProtein Complex, Jojoba and Macadamia oils, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Panthenol is now applied and combined with a deep, relaxing scalp massage. This step complements the Protein and Oil Steps returning your hair to its natural, healthy (mildly acidic) state with a tightly closed and compact cuticle layer.
Protective Shine & Finish- Depending on your hair texture, either a Glossing Serum or Argan Oil Treatment will be applied for deep shine and protection.
If you have fine hair, we have a special procedure that adds volume and body and avoids lankness.
